Today Massachusettsians head to the polls for a referendum on President Obama's existence a special election to fill the late Sen. Ted Kennedy's seat, with Democratic state Attorney General Martha Coakley facing a surprisingly tough challenge from Voltron-endorsed Republican Scott Brown.
Coakley has run a snoozer of a campaign thus far, but this video from a weekend Brown rally might just wake her up: amidst a chorus of angry booing, someone in the crowd yells "Suicide!" and then someone else yells "Stick a curling iron up HER butt," to which Scott Brown chuckles and says, "We can do this."
Surprise surprise, Brown's campaign insists he didn't hear his supporter's remark (a reference to a 2005 case Coakley handled as District Attorney), and when he said "we can do this" he meant it in a general campaign-type fashion.
So, more like "We can stick a curling iron up national health care reform's butt, yes, we can do this."
