• The 9/11 Trial May Be Priced Out of Manhattan

    new york city
Some folks, including these shrieking people, everyone with a conservative talk radio show and Mayor-for-life Michael Bloomberg, do not want Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's trial to take place in New York City.

Oh, and the holders of the federal purse strings, many members of Congress

[S]enior administration officials confirm alternative trial locations are being sought because Congress is almost sure to deny President Obama the funds necessary to conduct the trials, as originally planned, in the federal courthouse mere blocks away from the Twin Towers[.]

The news that officials are considering a new venue comes as New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who initially was open to the idea of holding the trials in the city, says he'd be "very happy" if the White House reconsidered. Security has been an issue, as well as cost, estimated at $200 million a year.

Wow. Okay, yeah, Manhattan prices are crazy. No wonder they're thinking about moving someplace else.

    So… Hoboken?
