Here's a deleted scene from Return of the Jedi in which Emperor Palpatine and a member of the Imperial Guard discuss the completion of the Death Star, so that it can wipe out all the rebel scum who are continually trying to infiltrate Coruscant.
Apparently, it ended up on the cutting room floor because it made Palpatine seem too evil…
