Stephen Colbert Previews the Upcoming Japanese Mr. Super Fun Time National Election Explosion
Earlier this week, Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama became the fourth Japanese P.M. to resign from office in four years, due — at least in part — to his inability to decide where to place a U.S. Marine base on the island of Okinawa. (You just knew we had to have been involved in this somehow, right?) You'd think that by now, someone would have introduced Japan to the concept of denying accountability which has been all the rage here in the states for several decades now. But, I guess if they've only recently adopted our '70s version of '50s culture, then maybe lying to stay in office is just around the corner.
At any rate, what this means is that now Japan will have national election to choose a new P.M. in six weeks. Stephen Colbert has a preview of what we can expect to see…
The Colbert Report airs Monday through Thursday at 11:30pm / 10:30c.
