• Anti-Marriage Equality Group Hoping to Steal Gay People's Flag Along with Their Rights

The National Organization for Marriage is understandably angry at the LGBT community for having taken the rainbow and copyrighted in a court of law it as a symbol of homosexual gayness. Because now nobody else is allowed to use it! How is that fair?

Besides, that rainbow was never meant to be a symbol of tolerance, acceptance and inclusive community! It has, since time immemorial, been a symbol of God's decision to drown the vast majority of living organisms on Earth because a tiny few of them were not behaving the way he'd prefer

[NOM activist Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse] says "the rainbow is a sign of God's covenant with man." Morse told ONN*: "Proposition 8 was passed by a great grassroots coalition that included people from all across the religious traditions, and also people of every race and color. We are the real rainbow coalition. The gay lobby does not own the rainbow."

Morse continued: "We can't simply let that go by. Families put rainbows in their children's nurseries. Little Christian preschools will have rainbows… Noah's Ark and all the animals… Those are great Christian symbols, great Jewish symbols." She also described how she wore a rainbow scarf to the Prop 8 hearings to show that anti-gay marriage activists still own the symbol.

Families put rainbows in their children's nurseries, for crying out loud! And, statistically speaking, only somewhere between 4 and 7 percent of those children are going to grow up to be gay!

How can gay people be allowed to walk around with pretty inviting rainbow flags when there are poor innocent children out there who are only now learning the proper way to hate people for being different?! Do you not see how that sends out a mixed message?
