Rep. Dan Burton Is Concerned About All That Horse Sex
Finally, a Republican congressperson who realizes the inherent value in funding programs that promote safe sex…Rep. Dan Burton (R-Ind.) introduced the amendment [for federally-funded horse condoms or something], which would control the population of wild horses and burros as an alternative to the costly practice of capturing the animals and holding them in pens, which the Bureau of Land Management currently employs…
Burton’s amendment comes as Republicans seek to cut off funding for Title X, the only federal program devoted to family planning among humans.
While it's nice to see Rep. Burton working so hard to foster a more loving relationship between human and horse — because, let's face it, at least with them we'll know it's safe — I have to wonder about his motivations.
Has anyone checked to see if he's being lobbied by the Trojan Magnum Condom people?
