Jon Stewart on the Union Demonstrations in Wisconsin
As Jon Stewart pointed out on last night's Daily Show, TV pundits have been comparing the protests in Madison, Wisconsin to everything from the demonstrations in Tunisia and Egypt to 9/11. Of course, none of those are even remotely apt. Anyone with an ounce of historical perspective can see the situation in Madison is more like a cross between the assassination of William McKinley and the great Chicago fire with a dash of the divorce of Burt Reynolds and Loni Anderson thrown in. Duh.
More coverage of the union protests from The Daily Show and Colbert Report can be found below.
The Daily Show and Colbert Report air Monday through Thursday starting at 11/10c.
