• Less Than Half of Country Knows Anything About 2012 Elections

I find this almost impossible to imagine, and yet I feel somewhat envious

[A]bout half of all Americans (53%) could not name anyone when asked which GOP candidate they have been hearing the most about.

Overall, just 20% of the public say they followed possible candidates for the 2012 presidential elections very closely last week and just 4% named it as their most closely followed story.

You mean that there are still people out there who aren't awoken several times a night by nightmare images of the non-Euclidean contours of Michele Bachmann's glowering face hovering three inches from their nose while, as if from beyond the veil, a well-drilled chorus of hoarse voices rises in a sing-song chant of: "Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Bachmann Stillwater wgah’nagl fhtagn"?

Should we warn them? Or should we allow them their few remaining days of blissful ignorance?
