You know, I've made a lot of fun of Michele Bachmann since… Well, since forever. That was mostly because she always struck me as an unserious politician who disregards facts and truths and maths and basic common sense in favor of saying whatever she feels like believing at any given moment. But that was mostly just based upon all the things that she's ever said and done.
So, when I heard that she might be running for president, I naturally thought it was somewhat hilarious.
However, at the time, I had no idea that she was in negotiations with the very architect of the universe in regards to her possible presidential run…
Henderson: You recently referenced your Christian faith. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, when he announced he would not run, said that he just didn't feel called to do that. Have you had that sort of calling to run for president?
Bachmann: Well, every decision that I make I pray about as does my husband and I can tell you, yes, I've had that calling and that tugging on my heart that this is the right thing to do and because it's such a momentous decision, not only for myself, my husband and our 28 children, it is a momentous decision what ideas will I bring to bear?
Please — please! — for ever thinking of Rep. Bachmann for anything less than the grounded, thoughtful prophet of the Almighty that she clearly is.
