Ah, summer camp: the toasting of marshmallows, the running of relay races, and — if you're a Tampa Bay-area Tea Party member — the hateful political and religious indoctrination of innocent children!
The Tampa 912 Project — which presumably is an organization that teaches Tea Party members how to count all the way up to the big numbers — is running a day camp called Tampa Liberty School this July. Interested in sending your little ones off to learn? Here's a preview of what they can expect in a camp that will undoubtedly give an entirely new meaning to the term "Color Wars"…
The organization, which falls under the tea party umbrella, hopes to introduce kids ages 8 to 12 to principles that include "America is good," "I believe in God," and "I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable."
And here's what the organizer, a human genius named Jeff Lukens, has to say about the project…
He said he was not familiar with public school curriculum, but, "I do know they have a lot of political correctness. We are a faithful people, and when you talk about natural law, you have to talk about God. When you take that out of the discussion, you miss the whole thing."
Yes, truly a nuanced, in-depth analysis of the problems in our public schools today, Jeff. We wish we had literally thousands of children to send straight to your super-awesome Camp Boredom 'n' Lies this summer.
