• Tim Pawlenty Boldly Takes Back Stuff He Said About Michele Bachmann

I'd have to say, the biggest mystery of this whole 2012 campaign cycle thing is how poorly Tim Pawlenty is polling with likely primary voters. Last I checked he was registering somewhere in the nanopercentages. (At time of press, a team of quantum statisticians were unable to measuring the present popularity while also determining how fast his numbers were falling.)

Why is this? It doesn't make any sense to me. This guy really has the presidential goods. Just look at the way he handled the devastating news of Michele Bachmann's headaches that she gets sometimes

Republican presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty walked back earlier criticism of rival Michele Bachmann's migraines on Wednesday, calling the attention over her headaches "a sideshow."…

Earlier in the day the former Minnesota governor said "candidates are going to have to be able to demonstrate they can do all of the job, all of the time."…

"What I said today generically, applying to all candidates, not her, is that anybody who's going to serve as president of the United States, of course, has to be able to do all of the job all of the time, 24/7," Pawlenty said. "That's just common sense. It's not a debatable proposition."

Can you think of another candidate brave enough to so publicly crumbled up into a little desiccated ball and play nice like that? It takes an awful lot of courage.
