The way I see it, there's only two things that Mitt Romney really needs to worry about going into the GOP primary season. One is returning to the department store window before midnight every night, lest he incur the wrath of nightime spirit who granted him the gift of life.
Rick Perry hasn't even announced whether he'll run for the White House next year, but the Texas governor has shot up behind Mitt Romney in the latest Gallup Poll of GOP presidential contenders.
Romney leads the pack for the GOP nomination with 17% of the Republican vote in the Gallup survey, but Perry is essentially right there with the former Massachusetts governor with 15%. Sarah Palin comes in next, with 12%…
If only announced candidates are taken into consideration, Romney is the clear front-runner with 27% followed by Bachmann (18%) and Ron Paul (11%).
Say what? Rick Perry is even polling ahead of serious politicians like Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann? That's insane! How is he doing that?! He must be a wizard of some kind! Burn him! Buuuuuurrrrrrn him!
Wait, whoops. My mistake. Perry isn't using magical wizard powers to ascend in the polls.
That's just the power of prayer.
