Mitch McConnell Promises Many More Debt Ceiling Crises to Come!
Well, the U.S. Senate just voted to pass this fantastically awful debt deal bill, and I don't know about you, but I'm already feeling a tad bit nostalgic for the days when the Republican Party held the American economy hostage with a fabricated financial crisis so that they could prolong our recession while protecting billionaires from not being able to buy a fifth private jet.Don't worry, though. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell went on Fox News yesterday to soothe a grieving nation with promises of many similar stalemates to come time and time again back and forth forever…
"It set the template for the future. In the future, Neil, no president — in the near future, maybe in the distant future — is going to be able to get the debt ceiling increased without a re-ignition of the same discussion of how do we cut spending and get America headed in the right direction.
I expect the next president, whoever that is, is going to be asking us to raise the debt ceiling again in 2013, so we'll be doing it all over."
And people say America's greatest days are behind it!
