So, just to get you all caught up, first Karl Rove predicted that Sarah Palin would be jumping into the GOP primaries soon because — I don't know, because she's driving around in a bus with her face on the side of it acting like somebody who's getting ready to jump into the GOP primaries.
Then Sarah Palin got all huffy and was all like, How dare you speculate about me jumping into the GOP primaries just because I keep saying that I might be jumping into the GOP primaries?!
And now, Karl Rove — who I can only imagine is experiencing feeling of suicidal depression — decided to talk about Sarah Palin on a national news station! Well, on Fox News at any rate…
"I'm not privy to her thought-making process. But it is a sign of enormous thin skin that if we speculate about her she gets upset. And I suspect if we didn't speculate about her she'd be upset," Rove said, rebuffing the possibility suggested by [Greta] van Susteren that Palin herself wasn't aware of SarahPAC's response to Rove's remarks.
Rove referenced Palin’s "thin skin" twice during the interview and suggested she get thicker skin if she indeed makes the leap away from her Fox News role and into the Republican scrum, an unmade decision that has created unceasing speculation and the joking remarks of other Fox personalities who said they have "pulled punches" when discussing Palin the possible presidential candidate because they work with Palin the pundit.
"How's she going to react if she does get into the campaign and gets the scrutiny that every presidential candidate does get? I mean, that's not going to be a pretty sight," Rove said toward the end of his comments.
Oh my God! Is he aware that Greta Van Susteren's show is recorded? I've never been a big fan of Karl Rove, but I don't want to see the guy disemboweled and flayed alive.* While watching the actual clip (embedded after the jump) of Rove talking, I kept expected Sarah Palin herself to materialize Russell Edgington-style** behind him and reach through his chest brandishing his still-palpitating heart.
* No, seriously, I don't. Seriously.
** If you don't get this reference, then lucky you.
