• Republican Congressperson Saves Man's Life in Airport

Rep. Phil Roe from Tennessee is a genuine not-being-sarcastic-or-kidding-around-here honest-to-god hero

Roe rushed to an unidentified man’s aid in the Charlotte airport Tuesday morning, performed CPR, and used the emergency medical technicians’ equipment in order to shock the man's heart, according to Roe’s office.

Roe was able to restart the man's heart.

"I bet the guy wasn’t down probably 30 seconds before Phil was taking care of him. They gave him CPR for like 5 or 6 minutes. They pumped his chest pretty good. It was work, it was pretty intimidating to watch," Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.), Roe's traveling companion, told The Daily Caller.

Rep. Roe — a retired OB/GYN and former member of the U.S. Army Medical Corps – might have saved that guy's life, but I hope he knows that unless he sends that guy a bill for services rendered, he's killing the country. I don't wanna see a bunch of freeloaders taking their heart problems down to the local airport and waiting for passing legislators to give them emergency defibrillation hand-outs.

This is America, not Britainia or some place. No free rides!
