Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann: GOP Riot Grrrls

With Republican men getting all the press these days, it makes sense to see what the GOP's women have been up to. OK, done. Michele Bachmann's poll numbers are still the 1% (or close to it) and Sarah Palin is talking about caribou stew. So not much has changed. But while Herman Cain, Mitt Romney, and Rick Perry squabble like wet hens, Bachmann and Palin have synchronized their media cycles.
Recently, Bachmann spoke to a politely unenthusiastic Iowa State crowd about crony capitalism and why the Occupy movement has it wrong. Also recently, Sarah Palin spoke at a Florida Tea Party dinner about crony capitalism and why the Occupy movement has it wrong.
Both politicians asserted that real populist movements should focus their anger on a wasteful president that sucks from the taxpayer's teat, only to spit its milk out. The real heroes are the selfless, humble workers who volunteer to work at the country's largest financial institutions.
This new populist movement just doesn't understand how to focus its anger on the important issues, unlike Tea Party supporters.
