Newt Gingrich Statistically Tied with Barack Obama in New Poll
I suggest you print this post out and tape it up on your vanity mirror so that you care stare at it each night while brushing your hair before bed to help you sleep more peacefully…The McClatchy-Marist poll found that Obama is virtually even in a hypothetical match-up with the former House Speaker among registered voters. Obama polled at 47 percent and Gingrich at 45 percent.
Broken down by party affiliation, Gingrich is ahead among independents 47 percent to 41 percent…
By comparison, in a head-to-head matchup with Mitt Romney, Obama leads the former Massachusetts governor 48 percent to 44 percent, a slim but slightly better advantage for Obama.
I'm not sure who this says the most (or the least) about, President Obama or the American public.
All I do know is that when people trust you as much as they trust the only Speaker of the House to ever get disciplined by Congress for ethics violations, you done screwed up somewhere along the line.
