House Republicans Reluctantly Agree to Payroll Tax Extension

This almost makes me sad…

House Republicans on Thursday crumpled under the weight of White House and public pressure and have agreed to pass a two-month extension of the 2 percent payroll-tax cut, Republican and Democratic sources told National Journal.

Well, they didn't get what they wanted, but at least they made certain that everybody in the country thinks that Republicans hate them and want to steal all of their money.

And that's what really counts.
