With the Iowa Caucuses just around the corner in the new year and Ron Paul finally at the top of Hawkeye polls, it is officially pile-on Ron Paul week! Yay!
Obviously, CNN started in by unfairly asking Ron Paul questions about Ron Paul. And now falling star Newt Gingrich is taking a brief moratorium from trying his best to act like what he imagines a nice person to act like to take a quick shot at Paul…
During a radio interview with conservative commentator John McCaslin, the former House speaker… said that Paul is naive about the war on terrorism and Iran's nuclear program.
"This is a guy who basically says, if the United States were only nice, it wouldn't have had 9/11. He doesn't want to blame the bad guys… He dismisses the danger of an Iranian nuclear weapon and seems to be indifferent to the idea that Israel could be wiped out.
Well, everybody has different opinions about things. Iran and Israel are obviously both contentious issues, so I can kind of forgive him for having opinions that differ from most conservatives. And 9/11, we'll be sorting through that information for years to come.
"And as I said, I think the key to his volunteer base is people who want to legalize drugs."
Wait a minute! Hold the phone. Are you telling me that some — or, possibly, a lot — of the people who support Ron Paul are… druggies?!
He must be destroyed!
