• Rick Santorum Totally Dominating the (2008) GOP Primary

Most politicos agree that Rick Santorum has no chance of capturing the Republican nomination. Despite nearly winning Iowa, he earned a measly 9% in New Hampshire and has no shot at the more moderate swing states this year.

But he's doing great in 2008

Rick Santorum lashed out at John McCain on Thursday, calling the 2008 GOP nominee an inauthentic fiscal conservative and political opportunist…

"A little thing that gets my goat: Earmarks as an issue was created by John McCain," Santorum told more than 300 people in a hotel ballroom here. "The reason John McCain created the earmark controversy is because he needed to say he was tough on spending. The problem is that when it came to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and food stamps — he never wanted to cut anything."

Man, Santorum is really sticking it to that guy who ran for president in 2008. McCain? Earmarks? He is totally winning over the crucial voting bloc of people who existed four years ago.

Now all Santorum needs to do to cinch the 2008 nomination is talk about Joe the Plumber and dazzle crowds with a spot-on Borat impression.

And why stop there? By criticizing Romney and McCain, Santorum is really letting Bob Dole off the hook. If he just released a few Viagra attack ads, Santorum could really lock up the 1996 nomination by the end of the month.
