Two Men Walk Into a Ham House…

And so it begins: South Carolina polls have been open for a few hours, but the real action is at Tommy's Ham House, where Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are both scheduled for meet and greets at 10:45 a.m.

The event that some are calling #HAMGATE was–according to everybody's spokespeople–a total coincidence, and nobody is going to back down and change plans. Newt's spokesman Nathan Naidu has even offered "to treat Gov. Romney to ham," although by "ham" I suspect he means "a frustrating narrow loss in South Carolina." We shall see!
