Obama to Push Tax Fairness in SOTU Speech (Liveblog Tonight @ 9/8c)

If Mitt Romney was hoping to drop his tax returns into the news cycle on the day of the President's State of the Union address as a tactical attempt to keep his nearly-Kerry-like tax rate from reverberating too strongly through the news cycle, he probably ended up choosing the wrong SOTU address with which to try his luck…
President Barack Obama will seek to frame an election-year State of the Union address on Tuesday in starkly populist terms by emphasizing the inequality in a tax system that allows the wealthy to pay a lower rate than middle-class Americans.
His message will contrast with the release of tax records by Mitt Romney, a potential Republican rival and one of the wealthiest men to ever run for the White House. The records show Romney paid a lower rate than many top wage earners.
Oof! What's the exact opposite of a jackpot called again?
While we're on the subject, here's some footage the White House just released of the President pretending to be working on tonight's speech for the cameras…
We'll be liveblogging here and livetweeting @indecison for President Obama's third State of the Union address — as well as the Republican and Tea Party responses from Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels and Herman Cain respectively — tonight starting at 9/8c.
Keegan-Michael Key of Key & Peele will also be livetweeting the true meaning behind Obama's nice pretty words @ObamaTranslated.
