Jeb Bush Endorses Not-Rick Santorum for President
After several months and 34 primary contests, it is starting to seem as though the members of the Republican Party are starting accept that the insufficiently-staunch ideologue is going to be the eventual nominee instead of the disgraced self-obsessed former House speaker, the cranky old libertarian or the terrifyingly sincere religious zealot.I don't know if it's this particular endorsement so much as the weight of all the endorsements from all the respected party members, that makes it pretty much a fait accompli (anti-American for "done deal")…
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush endorsed Mitt Romney after Romney's lopsided win in Illinois Tuesday night. The former Florida Governor — a Republican heavyweight — called on members of the party to coalesce behind Romney.
"Congratulations to Governor Mitt Romney on his win last night and to all the candidates for a hard fought, thoughtful debate and primary season," said Bush in a statement. "Primary elections have been held in thirty-four states, and now is the time for Republicans to unite behind Governor Romney and take our message of fiscal conservatism and job creation to all voters this fall. I am endorsing Mitt Romney for our Party’s nomination."
Pretty good endorsement to get. I hear this guy has a way of handing elections to people.
