• Rick Santorum Has a Lot of Opinions About Balls

As a fierce culture warrior and proponent of so-called family values, Rick Santorum believes in traditional roles for men and women. The man should go out and earn a living at the steel mill while the woman remains at home tending to the children. And no one should ever, ever have sex.

So, when it comes to balls, pink is girls and blue is for boys

During a bowling outing in Wisconsin, Santorum told a college student sharing his lane that he couldn't use a pink ball. "We're not gonna let you do that," he said, according to Reuters reporter Sam Youngman. "Not on camera. Friends don't let friends use pink balls."

Santorum was afraid that if the student used a hot pink bowling ball, people would assume something terrible, like that he's gay or a Democrat. Whatever his personal views may be, as  a guy whose Google search results are already filled with disgusting imagery, Santorum should really stop talking about balls.

Oddly, PinkBallGate wasn't the only bit of Santorum/bowling news today. He's been making the rounds at Wisconsin bowling alleys flaunting his faux blue-collar roots. He's even challenged Mitt Romney to a bowl-off. But Santorum should be careful. Mitt Romney may not be a bowler himself, but as a cartoonishly rich man, his closet is probably filled with Monopoly Man bowler hats.

Remember: Friends don't let friends bowl with Santorum.
