Hipsters for Santorum
Rick Santorum was against birth control way before it was cool. So it makes sense that he would be the preferred candidate of mass-market hipster mogul Richard Hayne, the founder of Urban Outfitters…While the typical Urban Outfitters shopper is likely to be liberal-minded… the fiftysomething Hayne is mom-and-apple-pie conservative.
He and his wife Margaret have contributed $13,150 to the campaign coffers of Paleolithic right-wing Republican Sen. Rick Santorum and his Political Action Committee over the years.
And no, Hayne was not donating the money ironically. Maybe this means sweater vests are fashionable again.
It's worth noting that Hayne hasn't give Santorum any funds this election cycle. Oh my God. He was donating to Sanotrum before Santorum was cool. Richard Hayne is officially America's first political hipster.
Well, unless you count Obama.
