• Rick Santorum Plans on Finally Getting Some Sleep

Last night — after a tough day of conceding defeat in a primary race he's been running for more than a year — Rick Santorum sat down with some friendly faces and indulged in some good old fashioned self-reflection

"I can't say it was an emotional moment for me," the father of seven said at an event at Lancaster Bible College. "I know it was a little tougher for the family, always tougher for the family."…

The event was hosted by James Dobson, founder of conservative group Focus on the Family. He told the audience that Santorum's wife, Karen, who was originally scheduled to participate, would not be joining them because she didn't have the "emotional strength" to come…

When asked what his plans are, Santorum replied, "I'd like to get some sleep."

Aw, man, I know just how he feels. I'm sure this primary cycle has been a long and exhausting slog. Longer for him than he probably could have guessed. And now, completely drained following his difficult decision to step down, he's gonna fall into bed and sleep for, like probably, three days.

And then he's gonna wake up refreshed and clear-headed and be like, "I said what? I said what about pornography? Criminalizing it? Whaaaat?! Why didn't anybody stop me? What am I paying you people for? Well, at least I didn't use the N word or anything, right?… Guys…? Oh, come on!"
