You know, Mitt Romney gets unfairly categorized as a kind of stiff guy sometimes. Maybe it's because he lacks the neural connections needed for talking to fellow humans. Or maybe it's because the joints in his arms and legs were fused together back in the 90s. Hard to say.
That said, such spurious allegations could not be farther from the truth. And if anyone would know, it's Mitt's partner in life, Ann…
[T]aking Mitt playfully by the shoulders, Ann Romney said Tuesday, "I still look at him as the boy that I met in high school when he was playing all the jokes and really just being crazy, pretty crazy. And so there's a wild and crazy man inside of there just waiting to come out!"
First of all, nailed it! Nothing says, "My husband is a relatable person of the modern era" like a 40-year-old stand-up comedy catch-phrase.
Second of all, I'm a little surprised to learn that Romney played "all the jokes." I mean, sure, I'd assumed he'd played some of the jokes, and suspected that he'd played a lot of the jokes. I'd have even believed that he'd played a healthy portion of the jokes. But all the jokes? Way to go, Willard! You clearly are both wild and crazy.
I mean, that is a lot of jokes! To accomplish such a task no doubt took some careful planning and perhaps even an itemized spread sheet."One of the highlights for me has been sitting down with three or four families almost every day without the cameras there and talking about what's going on in their lives," he said on CTM. "That's a wonderful way for me to understand what people are really feeling."
