According to this school assignment obtained by the author of the soon-to-be-released book Barack Obama: The Story, it would appear as though our Commander-in-Chief has been eyeing his current seat of power for quite some time…
My name is Barry Soetoro. I am a third-grade student at SD Asisi.
My mom is my idol.
My teacher is Ibu Fer. I have a lot of friends.
I live near the school. I usually walk to the school with my mom, then go home by myself.
Someday I want to be president. I love to visit all the places in Indonesia.
I doubt that I'm alone in finding something disturbingly determined and fatalistic in that closing statement, "The eeeeeeeeend." Clearly, this is a child who knew what he wanted and was already prepared to do whatever it would take — deceit, forgery, aging forty years — to make it happen.
And just why does he "love to visit all the places in Indonesia" so much? Is that where he feels most at home? Is that predominantly-Muslim country the one to which he feels the strongest allegiance? I mean, it's pretty clear that that's where he was picking up his orders, right? I'm not reading into that, am I?
