• Robert Redford Says Democrats Are Bad Storytellers

In an interview with Outside Magazine, Academy Award winner Robert Redford criticized the Democratic Party's failure to do something that Hollywood pulls off close to 30% of the time — tell a good story

"It's about storytelling… The Democratic Party has a good story to tell, but they don’t know how to tell it. And the other side has no story to tell and they tell it loud and clear. People listen to the loud barking dog more than the mewing cat…"

Kind of like how people listen more to the barking of a rich famous person than to the mewing of a only-moderately well-off political analyst.

The famous are always trying to connect their experience to the larger world around them. This quote is kind of like if you asked a plumber what they thought of Obama and he  said, "I think his real problem is he isn't plumbing enough."

Despite his criticism, Robert Redford is a lifelong Democrat. Although, in this election, I'm surprised he's not supporting Romney. After all, the Romneys and Robert Redford both share an affinity for horses.
