Obama reelection campaign manager Jim Messina pledged that if Romney released five years of tax returns filed from 2007 to 2012, the Obama campaign in turn would stop criticizing the Republican candidate for not making public more of his returns.
Sorry for the unending nerd references, but this was a real Jedi move on Mitt's part. It takes serious, almost mystical levels of anticipation to see that, if Obama stops criticizing Romney's failure to reveal his tax returns, he's going to start, I don't know… criticizing how much he paid in those tax returns.
Sorry, Democrats. Looks like you've got to keep speculating about what Mitt's hiding in his tax history. (Probably it's the true whereabouts of Jimmy Hoffa, frozen in carbonite.)
