Leave it to the Democrats to honor the Ruskies. During the DNC tribute to war veterans, an image of a Soviet-era Russian warship appeared behind them on the screen. Is this what all the characters in Red Dawn fought and died for?
That's not even the worst of it…
The worst part is they acknowledged their mistake. Like the way Europeans do…
"Due to vendor error, incorrect images appeared briefly on screen behind fifty-one veterans during the convention and the DNCC apologizes for this mistake," the [Democratic National Convention Committee] statement said. "This error should not distract from the words of Admiral Nathman and others who spoke to President Obama's strong record on issues that impact those who have served our nation. We're proud of the service and sacrifice of our veterans and military families, and while they were an important and active part our of convention, Mitt Romney failed to even mention them in his speech in Tampa."
Not only do they take a completely unrelated swipe at Romney, but the DNC is also apologizing for America. Well, they're apologizing for the person who chose the image, who is probably an American. (What if he's Kenyan?!)
Haven't they heard Mitt Romney? Apologizing is un-American. As un-American as a Russian warship, which it turns out, in a certain light, looks kind of American.
