As with many scoops by Matt Drudge and The Daily Caller, last night's release of an Obama video was BREAKING NEWS. In the sense that after looking at the "exclusive," you realize there are neither enough heads nor desks to slam ones head against, to break through the stupidity of the pre-debate news cycle and enter the sweet sleep of unconsciousness.
The tape of then-Senator Barack Obama speaking about Hurricane Katrina at Hampton University represents an exclusive, in that it's exclusively for people who are unaware that the media covered this speech in 2007. As for the video's contents, it unveils one shocking fact: Barack Obama was black in 2007, may in fact still be black today — and Fox News is ON IT…
For nearly 40 minutes, using an accent he almost never adopts in public, Obama describes a racist, zero-sum society, in which the white majority profits by exploiting black America. The mostly black audience shouts in agreement.
Since I'm not to be trusted to select the most inflammatory quotes from this latest Whitey tape, let's outsource the task to the National Review. Besides being black, turns out Obama also has mildly conservative views on the causes of poverty…
"[The poor] may need help with basic skills — how to show up to work on time, wear the right clothes, and act appropriately in an office. We have to help them get there. That's why I have called for $50 million to begin innovative new job training and workforce development programs."
And he's on Team Jesus…
"It was also there — at Trinity United Church of Christ on the South Side of Chicago — that I met Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., who took me on another journey and introduced me to a man named Jesus Christ. It was the best education I ever had."
I can't wait for more "exclusive" videos from five years that will reveal the true essence of Obama. Surely, there's no other way to find out what kind of president he's going to be!
