Donald Trump's Obama Announcement Is Even Dumber Than You Guessed [UPDATED]

Well, Donald Trump set out to make news with his "major announcement" about Barack Obama that he promised would be "very big." And, I gotta say, mission accomplished. Because this is without a doubt the stupidest, biggest let-down of a news story that I've ever seen…

"If Barack Obama opens up and gives his college records and applications, and if he gives his passport applications and records, I will give to a charity of his choice… a check immediately for five million dollars."

That's it?! Really? I mean, I had some low expectations for this announcement, but this is even a disappointment by that criteria.

I'm pretty sure that there is no conceivable application of the phrases "major announcement" or "very big" that includes an empty promise from a silly man to give some money to charity if a politician releases some paperwork that nobody actually cares about.

Update: Contrary to popular opinion, conventional wisdom and all forms of empirical evidence, Donald Trump's major announcement was, it turns out, a huge success…

Gotta admit, you can't say "Donald Trump is a ridiculous and sad man," without saying "Donald Trump." So, by that measure, it was a success.
