Seems like every year, signs of the holiday season's arrival show up earlier and earlier: "Baby, It's Cold Outside" playing on the radio. All your Facebook friends' status updates pointing out that "Baby, It's Cold Outside" is pretty rapey. The resigned "It's just a song" replies. All that used to wait until December.

This particular front was opened when an atheist group erected their message alongside a nativity scene in Santa Monica, California, leading the city to remove both displays "rather than referee the religious rumble."
If history is any guide, Fox News will soon identify Barack Obama as a Field Marshall in the War on Christmas. However, their task will be more difficult this year, with Mitt Romney claiming that Obama won the election thanks to "gifts" to his supporter and Rush Limbaugh referring to the president as "Santa Claus." It seems that the conspiracy against Christmas is an inside job.
