Just What Mitt Romney Needs, More Help from Clint Eastwood
I know Super PACs aren't supposed to coordinate with campaigns, but I really think American Crossroads should have checked with the Romney campaign to make sure they wanted to remind people that Clint Eastwood existed…

John Bryson Hands Barack Obama His Resignation Letter
Secretary of Commerce John Bryson is resigning. Just as Eric Holder is being help in contempt of Congress. Coincidence? I don't think so. What's John Bryson trying to hide? Is he drunk?!John Bryson resigned as Commerce Secretary, calling an end to the medical leave of absence he’d been on since a seizure caused his involvement in two car accidents in early June.
"I have come to the conclusion that I need to step down to prevent distractions from this critical mission," Bryson wrote in a letter to Commerce Department staff.
Oh, right. I forgot he's been having unfortunate medical problems lately. Sorry. Like the American Crossroads Twitter account, I have a serious problem with jumping to embarrassing conclusions.
Rebecca Blank, Bryson’s deputy, will continue to serve as acting commerce secretary.
Blank has a reputation for having her fingers on the pulse of the department, after previously serving as acting secretary for about three months last year while Bryson awaited Senate confirmation. A poverty expert and formerly the dean of the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, she is not the kind of retired corporate executive or political insider who typically runs the department.
A poverty expert?! Oh my God! She's a socialist! She's probably also drunk!

Karl Rove Appeals to Youth Vote with Charlie Brown References [VIDEO]
Apparently because Doonesbury is too liberal and Garfield is too edgy, Karl Rove has settled on Charlie Brown as the perfect comic strip character with which to mock the president. Check out the video his American Crossroads super PAC put together of Obama's recent economics address. (Don't worry, it's short.)
My favorite part? When they translate Obama's words into "Vote for me, or you'll probably die." If anyone can spot that rhetoric, it's the guy who ran George W. Bush's campaign.
I'm just bummed Obama didn't slump away from the podium after the speech. I love the piano that goes with that.

Karl Rove on his show. What an amazing accomplishment. I really didn't think that Rove would sit down with a liberal like Stephen. Whoops. My mistake. I wasn't paying attention and saw the Ham Rove and assumed it was the real deal. Sorry.Man, that thing is a dead ringer.
Coverage continues with Stephen's brand new Anonymous Shell Corporation and The Donating game after the jump.

Stephen Colbert on Michael Steele's Empty Empire and the New Shadow RNC
Karl Rove and Ed Gillespie's new fund-raising PAC American Crossroads appears to be about to overtake the RNC as the main money machine for the GOP. So, where does that leave Michael Steele? What happens to the Republican National Committee's first black chairman when everyone else has gone and left him without even the money for a quick lap dance?
