Marco Rubio Wins in Flori- Oh My God! It's a Blood Bath!
Look away! Look away! Teabag Republican senatorial candidate Marco Rubio has apparently reached into the body cavity of formerly-Republican/now-independent Gov. Charlie Crist, grabbed his spleen and is walking aware with about 50% of the vote in a three-way race for Florida's senate seat.
It's horrible. Horrible!

Colbert on John McCain's Victory Over John McCain
In the wake of his hard-fought and high-priced primary victory over Tea Party darling JD Hayworth, a lot of pundits are accusing John McCain of turning his back on his principles and shedding every last thread of his dignity all in a desperate attempt to keep his Senate seat. But that's unfair and simply not true. John McCain turned his back on his principles and shed every last thread of his dignity in a desperate attempt to become President.
In case you're wondering, yes, PunditMetaphors.com is now a real website.

The Gulf Coast's Environmental Disaster is Charlie Crist's Political Windfall
You know that old canard of criminal investigation: Cui bono? To whose benefit? What this usually means is that if you can find out who is profiting from an unpleasant scenario, you can infer that that party is guilty. This is obviously airtaight reasoning that ever ever fails. So, what happens if we apply that to the oil spill in the Gulf?
While Crist appears cool, composed, and in control — calling for tougher legislation to shut down offshore drilling — GOP wunderkind Rubio seems out of step with Florida’s populace, supporting a policy of continued offshore drilling that polling shows voters reject.
Standing among the suits, Crist is getting to play action hero. On Tuesday, he surveyed the shoreline in Pensacola Beach with President Obama. On Wednesday, he worked the phones, talking to fellow Gulf Coast governors and federal officials who are managing the Deepwater Horizon spill. Suddenly a whirl of activity, Crist has watched his popularity crest. Last week, a Quinnipiac poll had Crist, who trailed Rubio by 8 points in May, ahead anywhere from 4 to 7 points, depending on which Democrat eventually joins the pair in the race.
Ipso facto, Charlie Crist stripped down, greased himself up, swam out out to the Deepwater Horizon oil rig's drilling site six miles beneath the ocean's surface and, using only his upper body strength, tore asunder the ocean floor.
When you think about it, it's the only explanation that makes any sense.
