Indecision Presents the Best Moments of 2011

What a year 2011 has been. It was the year of the 9-9-9 tax plan, the year of gays serving openly in the military. The year of Anthony Weiner's resignation, and of the 9-9-9 tax plan's swift dismissal as a generally bad idea. The point is, it's been an interesting time. That's why we'd like to share our favorite moments of 2011 with you. (And yes, the one about deep-fried butter is very real.)

Tim Pawlenty to Capture Young Rapscallion Vote with Jaunty Popular Culture Rhetoric
It won't be long before young voters nationwide are jitterbugging into their fur coats and composing ditties on their ukuleles for the next president of these 48 states! Huzzah!

Sarah Palin vs. Charlie Sheen
Here is an important question to ask: In a race for the presidency, could Sarah Palin beat Charlie Sheen? That is an important question, isn't it? You probably didn't even think of it, right? Goes to show how stupid you are. And also why you don't work for Public Policy Polling.
Anyway, I'm sure you're literally dying for the answer now. Pretty much it's: Yes, but kinda not by that much…
[I]ndependent voters say they would support Charlie Sheen over Palin for President by a 41/36 margin… Despite her deficit with independents Palin does lead Sheen 49-29 overall. We also tested Barack Obama against Sheen and the President leads 57-24…
Sheen's unpopularity is pretty universal across party lines so it says something about the level of polarization in the country right now that Democrats would support him by a 44-24 margin for President over Palin and that Republicans would support him 37-28 over Obama.
Loathe as I am to miss an opportunity to speak (or write) poorly of Sarah Palin, I don't take much stock in this poll.
I mean, Sarah Palin and Barack Obama have been campaigning for years, and Charlie Sheen only started a few weeks ago. Give the guy a chance to catch up.

All this Qaddafi-related strife in Libya comes as an even bigger surprise for most guys when they first realize that a 'Libya' isn't just another female body part they don't understand.
Huckabee is starting to make Sheen look like a real Gibson. Charles Gibson, respected journalist and host of Good Morning America and World News with Charles Gibson, that is.

Sheen v. Qaddafi: Race to the Nadir
I got 5 out of 10 on this online quiz from The Guardian. Statistically speaking, that's about as bad a score as you can get in a binary quiz unless you were intentionally trying to lose…
