State Dept Discusses Hooker Scandal on "Take Your Child to Work Day"

When your parent is a Beltway bureaucrat, participating in Take Your Child to Work Day can be kind of a drag. Well, except when your mom or dad works at the State Department.

This year, children there learned less about work and more about working girls…

Children participating in the State Department’s "Take Your Child to Work Day" Thursday were treated to a salacious question-and-answer period on the sex scandals now rocking the Secret Service.

Indeed, reporters paid no heed to the fact that young kids were present in the day’s media briefing, asking awkward questions about prostitutes and strippers involved in developing Secret Service scandals in Colombia and Brazil.

Prostitution was mentioned four times in the briefing, "sex" seven times and "strippers" once. "Club," as in strip club, was mention three times.

Best Take Your Child to Work Day ever! Or, at least since the Clinton impeachment trial.

In any case, it must have been interesting for those kids to hear call girls mentioned in the same breath as DC politicians. One group is made up of shameless prostitutes who will do practically anything for money, and the other are Colombian escorts.

The Daily Show on the Secret Service Prostitution Scandal

I think the easiest way to ensure that similar scandals like this don't pop up in the future is for the Secret Service to institute a No Partying with Hookers rule for all agents. Honestly, I don't know why nobody thought of this before.
