So, Jay Leno apparently thought it was unnecessary to come up with fresh material for his performance at the White House Correspondents Dinner this weekend, and I really can't blame him. I mean, when you've got huge piles of gold like this lying around, why waste your time digging up more?
I'm sincerely sorry for that. I know. It's bad enough sitting through those jokes once.

You may have noticed that this past weekend, there were no stars in the sky. That's because they all unhinged themselves from the firmament and descended upon Washington D.C. for an evening of lukewarm comedy and not-too-chalky chocolate mousse at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner. Oh, and what a grand time it was.
Why, look, there's TV stalwart Larry King standing in the general vicinity of new media lion Josh Marshall. And over there, isn't that former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright rubbing elbows with that guy with the good hair from The Hangover? And there's soon-to-be-former Senator Chris Dodd and Miranda from Sex and the City 2: The Search for Spock! What a truly magical evening of make-believe civility!
As if you thought the evening couldn't get any better, they even got Jay Leno to warm up the room for the President's inevitable comedy routine, which the president graciously acknowledged once he took the stage…
"We're going to do what's necessary to protect the American people, to determine who is behind this potentially deadly act, and to see that justice is done."
Whoops. My mistake. That was the President talking to reporters about the Gulf Coast oil spill in Louisiana later this past weekend.
You get it? You see what I did there? Eh? Eh? Yeah. Environmental disasters are funny. (Sigh…)
Anyway, here's President Obama's and Jay Leno's performances from the dinner…

I hear they offered Conan O'Brien a chance to host the White House Correspondents' Dessert, but he said no, because it isn't served till after midnight.

This just in: David Cross did a line of cocaine off of Barack Obama's penis at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
I don't know. I stopped reading after I'd kinda gotten the gist.
