Quote Unquote: Homophobia Light
Dan Savage — sex advice columnist, creator of the "It Get's Better" Project and all-around gay-dude — Dan Savage on the difference between Ron Paul's homophobia and Rick Santorum's…
"Ron is older than my father, far less toxic than Santorum, and, as he isn't beloved of religious conservatives, he isn't out there stoking the hatreds of our social and political enemies. And Ron may not like gay people, and may not want to hang out with us or use our toilets, but he's content to leave us the fuck alone and recognizes that gay citizens are entitled to the same rights as all other citizens. Santorum, on the other hand, believes that his bigotry must be given the force of law. That's an important difference."
Quick note: If anybody saw your reading that quote, you should probably dowse your laptop in kerosene, drop a match on it and then move into the mountains for about two weeks or so.
Just a precaution.

It's like that old saying: I disapprove of what you sell, but I will defend to the death your right to slather it in chipotle sauce and sell it at a 300 percent mark-up.

Rick Santorum Knows Google Is Out to Get Him
Rick Santorum knows. Oh, he knows alright. You think you can pull the wool over his eyes because he's Mr. Goody Goody Catholic boy, but he's a sharper tack than you think.Like, for example, Google is all, like, We can't help you with your repulsive search results problem on our website. But Rick Santorum wasn't born yesterday. He knows that they can just turn some knobs and pull some levers or something and make it all go away.
It's not that they can't. It's that they won't…
"I suspect if something was up there like that about Joe Biden, they'd get rid of it," Santorum said. "If you're a responsible business, you don't let things like that happen in your business that have an impact on the country."
Exactly! Google would never allow anything negative about a ranking member of the executive branch of the U.S. government to ever be spread through their website. Never ever never in a million ever years! Hypocrisy, I tell you!
He continued: "To have a business allow that type of filth to be purveyed through their website or through their system is something that they say they can't handle but I suspect that's not true."
It's totally not true! Of course they can definitely undermine global public discourse to help the interests of a single politician and his goal of curtailing the rights of a particular national demographic. They won't because they're jerks! Total jerky jerks!
Sorry for the colorful language, folks. This kind of dirty business just makes me so mad. I mean, it's not just the disgusting Dan Savage-created website at the very top of their "Rick Santorum" search results page that nauseates me. Just look at this putrescent filth that they allowed to rise to the number two spot.
It's gross! Do they search their mothers with that algorithm?

Dan Savage Has Santorum by the "Rick"
I don't like to say that Dan Savage gave Rick Santorum's last name its very special meaning. I prefer to think that it was there all along just waiting for someone to uncover it.
Like, you know how sculptors will say that they chip away at a block of marble until they discover the nymph hiding within? Well, I think that similarly, Rick Santorum always had this "frothy mix of lube and fecal matter" in his soul, and it took a sex-columnist like Savage to discover it.
Could there also be a similar definition lying in wait within the name "Rick"? That's really for Rick Santorum to decide…
Uh oh. Looks like the man with the grossest name in politics is off to a bad start so far.

Quote Unquote: In Deep Santorum
Presidential hopeful Rick Santorum on Dan Savage and the popularity of the word "santorum"…
"It's one guy. You know who it is. The Internet allows for this type of vulgarity to circulate. It's unfortunate that we have someone who obviously has some issues. But he has an opportunity to speak."
Who would think that "one guy" could do so much damage? Somebody really should shut that Rick Santorum guy up. He's doing terrible things for Rick Santorum's career.
