Rep. Paul Ryan Was for Entitlement Programs Before He Was Against Not Destroying Them
You know, these welfare-reform folks are right on track. I mean, no matter how tough times get, there’s always a way to pull yourself up by those trusty ol’ bootstraps, get back on the horse, keep your head above water, and all those other things we say when they want to sound self-reliant and ‘Merican.Take, for example, the sovereign rock that is Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), author of the "Roadmap to the Future" economic plan, which calls for a total redesign and gutting of social security. He's someone who has made it on his own his entire life…
After his father's passing, young Paul Ryan started collecting social security benefits until the age of 18 years old. He took this benefit and saved it for his college education.
Yeah. I mean, if you ever have to rely on welfare programs, maybe you should move to a sissy country like Canada, where they insure your health, your education, your children and your aging, worn and waning body. Commies!

Jon Stewart on the Budget Debate
As Jon Stewart discussed on last night's Daily Show, all of the budget cuts being proposed by the Republicans are things held near and dear by liberals, like NPR, PBS and Planned Parenthood. There is some good news for the left though. So far, no one has suggested any cuts to the National Endowment for Self-Satisfaction. I think that's something for which we can really feel good about ourselves.

Jon Stewart on the GOP's Budget Plan
On last night's Daily Show, Jon Stewart talked about the movement by Republicans to extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. And while allowing the cuts to expire would cut our deficit by up to 30%, it's important to remember that taking money out of the pockets of the richest Americans could in turn have a detrimental effect on the things the wealthy buy most. Like solid-diamond guest-yachts, unicorn sex-slaves, and GOP Congresspeople.

Jon Stewart on Obama's GOP Lunch
As you may have heard, President Obama recently held a lunch conference where he fielded questions from Congressional Republicans. The event was televised and many have considered it to be a brilliant move on the President's part. It seems to have helped make progress with the GOP too. Instead of the party of "No," they've agreed to become the party of "Nah."

Barack Obama's Deficit Is So Huge…
President Barack Obama sent Congress a $3.83 trillion budget on Monday that would pour more money into the fight against high unemployment, boost taxes on the wealthy and freeze spending for a wide swath of government programs.
The deficit for this year would surge to a record-breaking $1.56 trillion, topping last year's then unprecedented $1.41 trillion gap. The deficit would remain above $1 trillion in 2011 although the president proposed to institute a three-year budget freeze on a variety of programs outside of the military and homeland security as well as increasing taxes on energy producers and families making more than $250,000.
Let's go ahead and call this the "talk radio stimulus package."
