Dennis Kucinich Is Interviewed by the Internet
In this interview with the Reddit community, the congressperson from Ohio discusses why health care is fucked, how congressional term limits would empower the lobbyists, and why he's going buy a foot stool if he ever decides to run an unsuccessful campaign for president again…

Jon Stewart Compares Obama's Surge to Bush's Surge
Is President Obama turning into President Bush? Probably not. For better or worse, Afghanistan isn't Iraq, just like it isn't Vietnam. Still, it might be nice if he went on TV once a day and correctly pronounced "nuclear" just to give us some peace of mind.
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich's Official Birthday Greeting
From the Tosh.0 blog…
Today is Ohio Congressman, perennial Presidential candidate, and all-around short dude Dennis Kucinich's 63rd birthday.
The event is being celebrated on his website with a happy birthday greeting on the front page under "Latest News."
If you click through, visitors have the opportunity to access a "Print version of this document." This link will bring you to the very… um… official looking document that is reprinted above.
Seriously, guys? This is the best you could do for the Congressman's birthday. I mean, I know the big 6-3 is no major milestone, but couldn't you spruce that document up a little bit? Maybe use a graphic that has been created during Kucinich's lifetime?
As far as birthday cards go, this thing is barely even fridge worthy. I realize we want to cut government spending, but live a little, will ya?!
New episodes of Tosh.0 return tonight at 10pm / 9c.

Secret Origins: The Hidden Identity of the Guy Who Made That One Picture That You Always See All Over the Place Lately, You know the One I'm Talking About, Don't You?
You know how you've been completely unable to sleep these past few weeks, so consumed you've been with the mystery of who is behind those Obama is the socialist Heath Ledger posters?Well, put on your sleeping cap and your sleeping cuff links, because mystery solved!
Firas Alkhateeb, a senior history major at the University of Illinois, crafted the picture of Obama with the recognizable clown makeup using Adobe's Photoshop software…
Using a tutorial he'd found online about how to "Jokerize" portraits, he downloaded the October 23 Time Magazine cover of Obama and began digitally painting over it.
Firas Alkhateeb? I don't know, man. That's kind of a terroristy-sounding name. I'm not sure how I feel about the creator of the defining image of the conservative movement having a name that sounds like his family originally came from some other country.
Well, at least we know he hates socialism. So, he can't be all bad. ('Cause all those Middle Eastern countries are socialist, right? "Socialism" means "evil," doesn't it?)
[A] still-anonymous rogue famously found his image, digitally removed the references to Time Magazine, captioned the picture with the word "socialism" and hung printed copies around L.A., making headlines.
"It really doesn't make any sense to me at all," he said. "To accuse him of being a socialist is really… immature. First of all, who said being a socialist is evil?"
Aw, man. This guy is certainly no Joe the Plumber, I'll tell you that.
But, at the very least. We know that he likes mocking the president, so he's gotta be a good conservative. (Maybe we can salvage something here.)
"I think he's definitely doing better than Bush was," Alkhateeb said of Obama. Alkhateeb's views on foreign relations align with the Democrats, he said, while he prefers Republican ideals on domestic issues…
Alkhateeb's assessment of Obama: "In terms of domestic policy, I don't think he's really doing much good for the country right now," he said. "We don't have to 'hero worship' the guy."
If he had to choose a politician to support, Alkhateeb said, it would be Ohio Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich.
Ah, fuck this. Let's check out Fox News. Maybe Glenn Beck is crying again.

The Daily Show's Best New Jersey Coverage
Last week, New Jersey — the state in which me and Jon Stewart and Bruce Springsteen and William Carlos Williams all grew up together — once again hit the national headlines in a big way. And, for once, it was for reasons other than massive government corruption, organized crime and/or black market human organ sales.
Oh, wait. No, that was exactly what it was for. Even so, it's nice to see my home state back in the headlines.
With that in mind, here's a list of some of The Daily Show's best coverage of all the wonders that The garden State has to offer…
