Quote Unquote: How Democrats Stole the White House from Sarah Palin
Conservative blogger Erick Erickson explains how those insidious Democrats have effectively destroyed the political chances of an otherwise unflawed and serious presidential contender…
But right now I am not excited by or inspired by any of [the potential nominees] save Sarah Palin and, as much as I love Sarah Palin, I am adamantly convinced that she cannot win given the ridiculous smears and hate thrown her way by Democrats and, frankly, by a lot of Republicans. She has been made radioactive.
It will never cease to amaze me the incredibly high regard in which Erickson holds the Democratic Party's effectiveness.

Quote Unquote: Concern for America
Conservative pundit to CNN and uber-patriotic American Erick Erickson laments the very likely possibility of partisan warfare resulting in a congressional stalemate that will likely result in hundreds of thousands of lost jobs and unquantifiable harm to the already battered economy…
"I'm almost giddy thinking about a government shutdown next year. I cannot wait!"
He just loves his country so much. (I'm getting all choked up.)

Important 3 A.M. Questions: Did Barack Obama Sleep through the Polish Plane Crash?
Erick Erickson, CNN's new "magic wall," asks a very important question re: the tragic plane crash that killed Poland's president and top government officials: did Barack Obama sleep through the whole thing? Here's what we know. The plane crashed at 0656 GMT, or 2:56 a.m. DC time. So assuming the Russians have us on speed dial, the White House phone actually rang at 3:00 a.m., just as Hillary predicted, and- well, let's go to the magic wall…
CNN has updated their story repeated [sic]. When I looked at it at 9:46 a.m. ET on Saturday morning, something very odd stood out.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown had released a statement. French President Nicholas Sarkozy had released a statement. An American Undersecretary of State for Public Affairs had released a statement.
Sometime after that the White House released its statement (note: I'm told in an email the statement was actually released earlier, but still after sunrise). [...] Why the delay? Did the President sleep through the 3 a.m. phone call? If you think it is unfair to ask, just imagine if it were George W. Bush.
Excellent point! If it were George W. Bush he would've used his superpowers to rearrange the time-space continuum and give himself the same advantage as the British prime minister and the French president, namely, being five hours ahead of the United States.
God, I miss that guy.

Jon Stewart on CNN's Hiring of Erick Erickson
On last night's Daily Show, Jon Stewart discussed the latest blunders by CNN, the paint-chip-eating-est news network on TV. I won't say CNN is completely retarded, but I will say I'm considering taking it on a road-trip to count cards in Vegas, where CNN will unwittingly teach me a valuable lesson about life and love.
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.

The RedState.com Guy Is Moving to CNN (But Will They Make Him a Hologram?)
Erick Erickson, Colbert Report guest, RedState.com editor and defender of goats, has landed a new gig on CNN, aka the MSM. This is not a St. Patrick's day joke! Here's the official announcement…Prominent conservative commentator and RedState.com editor Erick Erickson will join CNN as a political contributor, appearing primarily on CNN's new show John King, USA¸ the network announced Tuesday.
"Erick's a perfect fit for John King, USA, because not only is he an agenda-setter whose words are closely watched in Washington, but as a person who still lives in small-town America, Erick is in touch with the very people John hopes to reach," said Sam Feist, CNN political director and vice president of Washington-based programming.
So many questions! Will Erickson's audience see him as a sellout or a successful infiltrator? Is CNN skewing right or is CNN just desperate for more ginned-up shouting matches, since reasonable discourse gets terrible ratings?
Most importantly, what is with "John King, USA"? Does that mean Campbell Brown gets Canada?
