Faisal Shahzad's Arrest Will Have Implications for Airline's No-Fly List
Ugh! Every time, a would-be terrorist does something terroristy, the rules for air travel get shifted around. What do we got this time?
In the wake of Faisal Shahzad's arrest aboard an airplane at JFK airport on Monday night, the Obama administration has changed the procedures for the no-fly list.
From now on, international terrorists will not be allowed to fly. Previously, they were simply forced to board last.

Quote Unquote: Glenn Beck on Faisal Shahzad's Rights
Glenn Beck — or perhaps some unearthly entity clothed in Glenn Beck's skin — on Fox and Friends, discussing the Miranda Rights of alleged Times Square car bomber Faisal Shahzad…"He is a citizen of the United States, so I say we uphold the laws and the Constitution on citizens… If you are a citizen, you obey the law and follow the Constitution. He has all the rights under the Constitution… We don't shred the Constitution when it is popular. We do the right thing."
You weren't expecting that, were you? I don't think anybody was. I'm pretty sure when people talked about it with Beck afterward, he was like, "I said what? No, you must be mistaken. I probably said something about him being barbecued or something."
Good job, The Senator Formerly Known as Maverick. You just out-crazied Glenn Beck. You definitely deserve some kind of prize for that.

John McCain's Righteous Crusade Against Miranda Rights
Oh, jeeze! Oh, God! Oh, please! Please, please, please let the FBI agents who arrested Faisal Shahzad have read the non-convicted suspect in the failed Times Square his Supreme Court-mandated Miranda Rights! Oh, please tell me they didn't do that! For the love of God, please don't let any information that the FBI received from this suspected terrorist be legally admissible in court, because that would be a travesty of justice!Isn't that right, Sen. John McCain?
"Obviously that would be a serious mistake… [Ed note: Obviously!] at least until we find out as much information we have," McCain said during an appearance on "Imus in the Morning" when asked whether the suspect, 30-year-old Faisal Shahzad, a naturalized American citizen from Pakistan.
"Don't give this guy his miranda rights until we find out what it's all about," McCain added.
Oh, and while we're on the subject, please tell me that this Shahzad guy is being held in an iron sarcophagus lined with sharpened spikes and heated to searing temperatures. At least until we find out what this is all about.
Obviously, if he were not, that would be a serious mistake.

Failed Times Square Bomber Arrested Failing to Fly to Dubai
Good news, everybody! They arrested the guy who tried to blow up Times Square…Federal agents and police detectives arrested [Faisal Shahzad] a Connecticut man, a naturalized United States citizen from Pakistan, early Tuesday in connection with the failed Times Square car bombing, according to people briefed on the investigation…
Mr. Shahzad was taken into custody at Kennedy Airport, apparently trying to flee, one of the people said. Charges against Mr. Shahzad, who had returned recently from a trip to Pakistan, were not announced.
There you go. He was just some guy who recently got back from a mysterious trip to his native country of Pakistan — where the U.S. is currently waging a CIA drone war against the Taliban — and the FBI arrested him on his way to the United Arab Emirates — where a bunch of people were just caught funneling money to, um, well… the Taliban.
But, we got him! So, everything's cool. Nothing at all to worry about from now
until the next timeon.
