The Rise and Fall of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger
Only in America can a foreign born Mr. Universe champion claw and scrape his way up from being a lowly international action star to somehow become the governor of the most populous state in the union. It is truly an inspiring and heartwarming tale. Unfortunately, inspiration and heartwarminess aren't the only themes of this tale. There is also financial strife, despair and making-secret-baby-ness to consider.
So, sit back and enjoy the triumph and the tragedy that is the political life of California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger…

U.S.-Pakistani Relations Requires a Good Osama bin Laden Conspiracy Theory
Is there any problem that a halfway decent conspiracy theory can't fix? Probably not. Just ask the cryogenically frozen brains of founding fathers George Washington and Ronald Reagan. Paraguay v. SpainThese games begin tomorrow, and by the end of the day Saturday, the World Cup will effectively be The South-Western Hemisphere Cup, and then the entire Eastern Hemisphere can rejoin us in having better things to think about.
Or, maybe I spoke too soon. It appears as though there actually are some people here in the North-Western Hemisphere who are still paying attention to this. Last night, The Daily Show — in the absence of any real news — dedicated its entire episode to this Cup of the World thing. Here's Jon Hodgman explains how FIFA can make Non-American Football more appealing to Non-Non-Americans…
The CC Insider has the complete episode in its complete completesity right over GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!!

As you know, the rumors have been all over the place. First it looked like he was out, and now they say he's still in. Of course the biggest question in either case is, how will the markets react? Well, that and will he go back to Jen? I guess all we can do is sit back and wait for Angelina to make a decision. And while we do that, why not enjoy these Daily Show videos about Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke?
