Rolling Across the Aisle Laughing, Week 7
Here we are at week 7 of Rolling Across the Aisle Laughing. Time flies during an election year. Why, it seems only last week that we had a decisive RAAL victory on the left, so congratulations Erin Gibson (@gibbletron).
If you didn't experiment with bipartisanship in college, now is a great time to see how the other team plays. This week's jokes are going to have you laughing harder than a split-screen Joe Biden. Please vote in the comments section!
Week 7:
an
IN THE LEFT CORNER
Mitt Romney once invested in the Yankees. Which finally explains the time the Yankees tried to trade Alex Rodriguez to China.

IN THE RIGHT CORNER
I went and saw "Seven Psychopaths" and was surprised it wasn't a movie about Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Debbie WS, Clinton, & Axerod.

Rolling Across the Aisle Laughing, Week 6
Week 6 of Rolling Across the Aisle Laughing is going to be a hoot. Last week, I think Frank Conniff won! The only reason I'm unsure is because some voters said it wasn't fair to use Dennis Miller because people hate him. Others said it isn't fair for people choose one person's joke over another's based on personal preference. I don't think it's fair that everyone with a computer has a keyboard, but that's life. This country isn't about apologies or fairness. It's about laughing at ourselves and our opponents equally or not at all.
Here are this week's contenders. Vote in the comments section for the one you like best.
By the way, if you come across a great partisan joke next week, feel free to email the link to johnsonlisabeth@gmail.com.

Rolling Across the Aisle Laughing, Week 5
It's week 5 of Rolling Across the Aisle Laughing and things are getting RAAL. Last week we took a chance on political cartoons. Only one person voted, and it was purely on production value. We've therefore decided to throw their vote away and declare another election this week, because that's how democracy works!
So, take a look at the candidates and vote in the comments section. And remember, it's fun to reach around and grab onto someone else's sense of humor sometimes.

Rolling Across the Aisle Laughing, Week 4
Welcome to week 4 of RAAL (Rolling Across the Aisle Laughing). We took last week off to do some fundraising in the Hamptons, but this week we're back and ready to elect a new jokester-in-chief. Congratulations to lefty @BorowitzReport for getting the best of liberals in week 3.
Our jokes this week come in the form of comics. Take a look at both and then vote in the comments section. You'll have to do a little more work for the right-wing comic (by clicking the link), but on the bright side, you get to write it off on your taxes.

Rolling Across the Aisle Laughing, Week 2
Welcome to week 2 of RAAL (Rolling Across the Aisle Laughing)! Last week we pitted a conservative joke against a liberal one and asked you, our readers, to vote for the best one. Even though we didn't pass any new voter ID laws or rezone our comments section, turnout was dismal. With one vote, the winner was the conservative joke, written by @AlinskyDefeater. Congratulations!
This week we have another round for you to judge, and another plea to vote with your sense of humor, not your sense of partisan obligation. YES WE CAN laugh at ourselves.
Week 2:
IN THE LEFT CORNER
Rush Limbaugh loved Mitt Romney's birther joke. That's like John Wayne Gacy raving about one of your clown paintings.
— Frank Conniff (@FrankConniff) August 24, 2012
IN THE RIGHT CORNER
Mitt added, "President Obama and I have our differences – I try to avoid caffeine, don't drink much soda, stay away from coke, you know."
