Michele Bachmann Preps for Meet the Press
I don't know how she does it, but our own Sara Benincasa has uncovered some top secret behind the scenes footage of Ames Poll favorite Michele Bachmann practicing for an upcoming appearance on NBC's Meet the Press…
I hate to say it, but I think I kind of agree with Bachmann on this "throwing peanuts at David Gregory" thing.

John McCain Apparently Not Sold on Donald Trump
With Donald Trump rocketing to the top of the GOP primary field, propelled along by a chemical reaction of reality TV celebrity and birth certificate speculation, you gotta wonder what the last guy who got the nod thinks of all this…McCain, appearing on Meet the Press, was reminded by host David Gregory that Trump had endorsed him in 2008. McCain didn’t want to comment on whether he likes Trump better or worse than any other potential Republican candidate, instead just saying "I think of Mr. Trump as having the time of his life. I congratulate him for getting all the attention that he’s getting."
You know, for all his obnoxious overtures toward the far right since his '08 campaign, i suppose McCain still is, at heart, a serious politician. I can disagree with his policies all I want, but, at the end of the day, I have to admit that the guy has a genuine respect for the office of POTUS, and could not possibly get behind an unserious candidate who clearly disrespects the office in such a way that–
Then McCain surprisingly even brought up Sarah Palin's name unprovoked, adding "I would be very happy if Sarah Palin got in."
Oh, well, nevermind.

Rand Paul's New Strategy of Avoiding People Who Ask Questions
So, wow! Did you not see Rand Paul's fantastic non-appearance on Do Not Meet the Press just neverday morning?
"He wanted to avoid the liberal bias of the media."
How very brave of him to take a stand like that. This guy really is being groomed to be Palin's running mate in Oh-Twelve, isn't he?

Damon Weaver Should Host Meet the Press
I know they're saying the job is going to David Gregory, but look me in the monitor and tell me Damon Weaver isn't exactly the kind of person we need holding feet to the fire and asking the tough questions.
Remember when Joe Biden said Barack Obama would face a big challenge early in his Presidency? Well, this is it. Your move, Mr. President-Elect.

Meet the Press to Be Hosted by Shapeless Gray Void
According to this story that an NBC-owned website pulled from the Associated Press, NBC is rumored to finally be ready — six months after Tim Russert's death — to announce an official replacement host for Meet the Press. Almost. Now, when you hear the name, you'll most likely think to yourself "Gregory who?" But that's a very naive response.
The correct response should be "David who?"
NBC News is close to naming chief White House correspondent David Gregory as Tim Russert's replacement on the top-ranked Sunday political talk show "Meet the Press," a network executive said Tuesday.
Gregory is negotiating terms of a deal that would give him the job, said the NBC News executive, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal wasn't final.
For those of you familiar with MSNBC's early evening programing, you might recognize David Gregory as the hour-long blank space on your television screen between Chris Matthews at 5 pm and Chris Matthews at 7 pm.
I knew that NBC was looking to find a replacement who could match the depth and strength of Tim Russert's personality.
I'd just assumed that they meant before Russert's heart attack.
