Nicki Minaj Wants Mitt Romney to Lower Taxes on Her Starships

"I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney/You lazy bitches is fucking up the economy," announces Nicki Minaj on Lil Wayne's newly released mixtape Dedication 4, leading to two possible conclusions.

One: Minaj is deeply concerned about the impact of President Obama's fiscal policies will have on her ability to finance the purchase of further starships. While Romney's policies continues to treat investment income from the critical starship sector as a  lightly-taxed capital gain, Obama's Buffet Rule will ruin Minaj's status as Job Creator in the starship maintenance industry. This analysis is the position of The Hill, which writes that "Minaj gave Mitt Romney an expletive-filled endorsement."

Two: Rap lyrics are often times metaphorical. In this case, Minaj is "voting for Romney" because that's what rich people do. It's a boast about wealth. Such is the analysis of anyone who has ever heard a rap song, and has also spawned some excellent fact-checking of other hippity hop lyrics…
