Obama Gets Some Help from Colbert in Chicago's Olympic Bid

The Obamas and Oprah are lobbying hard for Chicago to get the 2016 Summer Olympics, and last night Stephen Colbert and George Wendt joined the cause. Personally, I can't help but wonder, aren't any of these people worried that if the games are in Chicago, Steve Bartman will snatch the javelins out of the air and ruin everything? (Get it? Steve Bartman? Ask your parents. Your parents are jokes-that-were-kind-of-funny-in-2003-ologists, right? Good.)

For the last nine years Oprah has been a regular face and figure at the grocery store check-out line. The media mogul has been the sole cover girl on O magazine since its inception. But the upcoming April issue is a different story — Oprah is sharing(!) with First Lady Michelle Obama.

Goddamnit, that's what I pay for O magazine for. For O! not for MO!

If I wanted Michelle Obama on the cover of my magazine, I'd buy, well… any other magazine!
