George Clooney Arrested Outside Sudanese Embassy in D.C.
I've been wondering when authorities were going to pick this guy up ever since I saw The Good German. This is long overdue if you ask me…[George] Clooney and several of his activist colleagues were taken away in handcuffs outside the Sudanese embassy on Massachusetts Avenue Friday morning after three verbal warnings.
The protesters accuse Sudan's president, Omar al-Bashir, of provoking a humanitarian crisis and blocking food and aid from entering the Nuba Mountains in the county's border region with South Sudan.
Disgraceful! What would his father, noted TV news anchorman and former host for American Movie Classics Nick Clooney think of his son if he could see him now?
Oh, what? His father Nick Clooney was there and got arrested with him?! Disgraceful! What would U.S. Representative for Virginia's 8th congressional district Jim Moran think of these two if he could see them now?
Wait, what? Aw, come on? Well, who wasn't there?

Dick Cheney Says Canada Too Dangerous to Visit
Ever since Canadian Bacon warned me of the syrup-soaked menace to the north, I've been properly skeptical of Canada's image as a friendly and peaceful locale. The second largest country in the world, with 90% of its citizens massed along the longest undefended border in the world, presumably just waiting to strike, there's obviously a dark side to the land of Mounties, politeness and universal healthcare.Unfortunately, few American officials have seen through the facade, with Barack Obama choosing Canada as his first international destination as president. But one man's
heartventricular assist device knows the score…Former U.S. vice-president Dick Cheney has cancelled an April appearance in Toronto citing concerns Canada is too dangerous.
"He felt that in Canada the risk of violent protest was simply too high," said Ryan Ruppert, president of promotions company Spectre Live Corp., which had booked Mr. Cheney for an April 24 appearance at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre…
"God forbid there was ever an emergency," said Ruppert, noting Cheney's history of heart problems.
It's not the first time Cheney has been afraid to go to a foreign land. Though unlike Vietnam, I don't think he'll have trouble finding volunteers to take his place.

The Daily Show on Rick Santorum's Mud-Splattered Ad Strategy
The thing that I find most intriguing about both Rick Santorum's and Mitt Romney's television ads is how they actually manage to film and edit all those TV spots without ever having anybody look at them.
Coverage continues after the jump with the rise of the glitter bomb.
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11/10c.

Adult CPAC-ers and Adult Protesters Nearly Get into Adult Brawl
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the state of political discourse in 21st Century…
A melee nearly ensued today outside Mitt Romney's speech at CPAC, when protesters blocked a large TV screen showing Romney's speech.
In the background, you can hear one man telling protesters: "You are a left-wing bastard."… "Dad, you can't do anything about it," [an attendee] pleaded. "I'm just scared my dad's going to like, knock them out," she told me.
It's so inspiring to see people from either end of the spectrum come together like this.

Mitt Romney Survives Vicious Mic Check Attack
Warning: This video may contain unpleasant levels of crunchiness. Please keep your Heritage Foundation-supporting children away from the computer screen…
Our thoughts and wiggly fingers go out to Mr. Romney and his family in what must surely be troubling times.
